The Tongjin Bridge is located on the ancient canal in Dongda Street. It is the intersection of the cross-shaped water system. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was a very prosperous silk trading place in Nanxun. When coming to the Tongjin Bridge, you must not miss a small street called Sixingduo on the south side of the bridge. This small street in Nanxun is famous for operating the silk industry. There are many poems by predecessors describing the trading boom on the Tongjin Bridge. Among them, the one that is very straightforward and easy to spread by word of mouth is ‘Hearing that the silk price is good this year, there are many trading boats at the Tongjin Bridge’ by Cao Renhu during the Qianlong period (“Puxi Zhuzhi Ci”). The Tongjin Bridge was built during the Song Dynasty and was rebuilt several times during the Qing Dynasty. The bridge is a single-arch stone arch bridge, 28 meters long and 4 meters wide. There are 33 steps on each side. It is a very famous bridge in Nanxun. If you come to Nanxun, please stay on the Tongjin Bridge, overlook Sixingduo, and recall the prosperous trading scene of ‘Villagers rush to the market to sell silk, and the market is so crowded that people cannot walk. A thousand words assail people’s ears’. The specific business hours and opening status are subject to the opening situation on the day.
