The Wanquan River Canyon Scenic Area is located in the river section from Qionghai to Yanyuan Hydropower Station to Huishan Township. It is about 15 kilometers long and mainly features rafting. The narrowest part of the river is about 8 meters, the widest part is about 100 meters, and the water depth is 1 – 10 meters. This river section is a vast and majestic grand canyon. There are 9 dangerous shoals and 12 natural scenic spots along the whole journey. There is not only the excitement of rushing through rapids and crossing dangerous shoals, but also the poetic and picturesque scenery with the views on both banks fully visible in leisure time.
Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 16:30 from Monday to Friday throughout the year; Open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.
Preferential policies: Children: Those aged 5 years old (inclusive) and above and with a height of 1.3 meters (inclusive) and below can enjoy discounted rafting tickets. Must-see tips: 1. Due to the influence of water flow and weather, sometimes the exciting rafting may not be available for experience. Please call the merchant in advance before traveling to ask whether this project can be used normally on that day. 2. Leisure rafting is suitable for tourists aged 5 – 65 years old. Exciting rafting is suitable for tourists aged 7 – 65 years old. Canyon exploration is only suitable for tourists aged 13 – 55 years old. Children’s tickets are only for those with a height of 1.3 meters (inclusive) and below. Do not conceal your age to participate in the project. 3. Patients with heart disease, hypertension, epilepsy, dementia, etc. are declined to participate. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with disabilities are not suitable to participate. 4. During rafting and exploration, you will be completely soaked. Towels, sandals and changeable clothes are essential. The scenic area is equipped with changing rooms and provides showers. You need to bring your own towels, clothes and shower supplies. 5. Do not bring valuables and electronic products. Do not wear jewelry. It is recommended to purchase a waterproof mobile phone case to protect your mobile phone first. 6. Due to the relatively strong ultraviolet rays of the sun, please apply waterproof sunscreen in advance. For rafting, it is recommended to wear long clothes and trousers and sandals that can be soaked in water. For exploration, you need to wear sports shoes or non-slip rubber-soled cloth shoes. 7. The rafting boat is a rubber boat. Each boat can carry 12 people. There is a boatman on the boat to ensure the safety of tourists and explain the scenery along the way. 8. In case of force majeure such as severe weather, torrential rain and flood, the scenic area has the right to terminate the activity.
