Located on the north side of Haixiu Road in Longhua District, behind Xiuying Village, Xiuying Fort is an ancient and grand military facility.
Built in the 17th year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1891), it consists of five batteries: Gongbei, Zhendong, Dingxi, Zhenwu, and Zhenwei, arranged in a straight line from east to west, approximately 241 meters long.
The gun ports all face north, overlooking the sea, surrounded by solid walls, with a large parade ground of 6867 square meters in the middle. The entire fort, along with its attached buildings, covers an area of about 33,000 square meters. It is open all year round from 08:00 to 18:00, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.
