Yalong Bay is a prime tropical beach scenic area located on the eastern outskirts of Sanya City, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China, 28 kilometers southeast of the city. The beach stretches for 7000 meters and is flat and broad, with a shallow sea area reaching 50-60 meters in width. The sand is white, soft, and fine, and the seawater is clear and transparent with a visibility of 7-9 meters. The average annual temperature is 25.5 degrees Celsius, with seawater temperatures ranging from 22 to 25.1 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for swimming all year round.
The beach resort is acclaimed as the number one bay in the world. To the west of the bay’s outer sea, there are pristine island reefs, including Longzai Island, surrounded by mountains and clear, transparent seawater with a horizontal visibility of 18-30 meters, indicating superior water quality. The variety of coral is rich, well-preserved, and vibrant in color, with a predominance of soft corals. The marine life on the seabed is abundant, including the comical and cute clownfish, the elegant and majestic angelfish, and the brightly colored butterfly fish. Occasionally, one may encounter spectacular schools of fish, making it an ideal choice for leisure diving, sea fishing, and underwater photography. It is also one of the top diving destinations in the country. The entire area is open year-round from 08:30 to 18:30.
