Yinping Mountain is the highest peak within Chaohu, with an elevation of approximately 508 meters. Surrounded by undulating mountains and embraced by nine peaks, it resembles a mighty lion, earning the moniker ‘Nine Lions Embracing Yinping’. The mountain is characterized by its secluded valleys, dense forests, coupled with caves and exotic flowers, forming picturesque scenes.
The Yinping Peony, a wild white peony, grows on a massive cliff that is as smooth and sheer as if carved by an axe, and is considered extremely rare for its elegant charm.

The Fairy Cave, located beneath the peony cliff, is filled with twists and turns, grotesque rocks, and a profusion of stalactites, resembling an underground labyrinth and is a typical example of karst topography cave landscape.

The Peony Pavilion, situated atop Moon Mountain, is a grand and elegant three-story octagonal structure.

Yinping Mountain, a higher peak in Chaohu, is an ideal place for autumn outings, offering views of the ‘Yangtze River like a floating ribbon to the south, and numerous boats on Chaohu Lake to the north’.
