Yu Liao Scenic Area’s mountainous terrain extends from north to south, surrounded by lush green mountains to the northwest. The scenic area is primarily known for its golden beach, integrating the essence of mountain and water scenery, and blending natural and cultural landscapes. It boasts unique features such as clear mountains and waters, fresh breezes, and peculiar islands, with white sand and clean water, making it a high-quality destination for tourism, summer retreat, and rest. Comparable to Beidaihe, it is hailed as the ‘Hawaii of the East’.

For sports enthusiasts, beach volleyball, windsurfing, and motorboating for surfing are available. Alternatively, one can swim in the sea, bask in the sun on the beach, or take a fishing boat to the outer sea to enjoy the sea and mountain scenery. In short, Yu Liao offers a variety of pleasures.
The Yu Liao Scenic Area includes more than twenty natural landscapes such as Yu Liao Ao, Wu Cheng Ao, Cao Yu Mountain, Emperor Reef, Seven Sisters Reef, Music Stone, Lion Head Rock, and the Threefold Waterfall.
Opening hours are from 08:00 to 16:00 all year round.
