Yuanguang Temple, located on Zhibara Moon Eyebrow Mountain in Zhongli, boasts an elegant appearance with green tiles and white walls. It is one of the ancient temples in Zhongli and also serves as a Zen temple for Buddhist College. The temple primarily venerates Shakyamuni and Guanyin Bodhisattva. The environment within Yuanguang Temple is tranquil and serene, with lush green grass and blooming flowers all year round, along with pavilions and statues as part of the scenery. The beautiful surroundings resemble a small park, making it a frequent destination for local Zhongli residents to enjoy outdoor activities. The temple is open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00.
