The Yushan tourist cableway is located between Xingfu Temple and Yushan Jianmen. It runs through the northern foot of Yushan Mountain and is a single-line circular, fixed grip, double-person gondola passenger cableway. It is 1068 meters in length and has a total of 90 gondolas. The running speed is 1 meter per second, and the one-way passenger capacity is 300 people per hour. The riding time is 20 minutes.
It lies horizontally in the northwest of Changshu City, bordering the Yangtze River in the north and Shanghu Lake in the south. It is named after Yu Zhong (also known as Zhong Yong), the ancestor of Jiangnan in the Shang and Zhou dynasties, who was buried here. The southeastern foothills of Yushan Mountain extend into the ancient city, so it has the reputation of ‘ten miles of green mountains, half of which enter the city’.
