Opposite it, across the sea, are Mong Cai City and Van Truong Beach in Vietnam. Here is the No. 1 boundary marker of the Qing Dynasty and also the Beilun River National Marine Nature Reserve. In history, Zhushan Port was once a bustling trading port between China and Vietnam. The prosperity of that time can still be vaguely recognized from the ancient theater stage, ancient street, Sansheng Palace, Catholic church and so on.
