For over a century, the Fuguijiao Lighthouse standing on the cape has become an important and distinctive landmark on the northern coast of Taiwan. Thanks to the construction and connection of trails, visitors can now not only enjoy the unique coastal scenery but also get up close to the lighthouse, feeling its long history and profound significance through the ages. Fuguijiao boasts the largest number and scale of wind-eroded rocks in Taiwan, which have been selected by the Forestry Bureau as one of the top 100 landscapes in Taiwan. The park’s wind-pruned trees and the green stone troughs by the sea in Laomei are distinctive natural features. Furthermore, the Fuguijiao Lighthouse, which has finally been opened to the public, has become the 11th open lighthouse in Taiwan for visitors. Open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00. Essential tips: 1. The stone troughs covered with green algae are slippery and dangerous due to the waves, so please always pay attention to your safety. 2. Fuguijiao Park has a barbecue and camping area, as well as a playground (outdoor maze, slides, balance beams, etc.).
